Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bhardwaj has accused private builders of occupying Public Works Department (PWD) land in Model Town in connivance with the BJP-ruled Municipal Corporations. However, Delhi BJP denied the charges saying that a few individuals occupied the plot and got a building plan sanctioned online under the Saral scheme. Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor said that the North Corporation has no involvement in sanctioning the building plan of the disputed plot. “Some individual first occupied the plot and got building plan passed online under saral scheme. North Delhi Municipal Corporation has already started procedure to cancel the builder’s online plan and police complaint has been filed against them,” he said.
