Namkum Police Station In Charge Sunil Tiwary informed that the name of the property dealer is Buland and he is a resident of Namkum Police Station area in the State Capital.

“Buland was standing near the Noori Masjid in Maulana Azad Colony along with some of his companions. The criminal reached there and opened fire at him and fled the spot immediately. After the firing, there was an atmosphere of chaos for a while, and a number of people gathered there,” he added.

The Police Station In-Charge further said that at first no one understood anything, but seeing the criminals running away, the matter immediately became clear that the land trader was shot at.

“It was told that at the time of the incident, a land trader named Buland was assaulted and later shot at. The name of the criminal who opened fire is said to be Anwar Bengali. As soon as the incident was reported, a police team of Namkum Police Station In-Charge led by me reached the spot and inquired about the matter. At present, the police are investigating the whole matter and trying to gather information as to why the criminals have fired,” he added.

“For the past few days, reports of the robbery of Bolero, Pickup vans were received in Namkum and Kanke Police Station areas. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed on the instructions of Ranchi Rural Superintendent of Police (SP), Naushad Ansari for the recovery of the looted vehicles and the arrest of the criminals involved in these crimes so that such kinds of loot could be prevented. The team raided various Police Station areas of Khunti district and recovered a Mahindra Bolero pickup van looted from Kanke Police Station area,” said Tiwary.
