Chhattisgarh Police on Sunday busted a Pakistan Super League (PSL) cricket betting racket in Bilaspur city and arrested three persons.
The three were identified as Dinesh Tekwani (55), Amit Wadhwani (36) and Yara Khan (24), all residents of Bilaspur city.
Bilaspur Superintendent of Police Prashant Agrawal told the Pioneer that they were nabbed with Rs 19,580 in cash. Betting records detailing transactions of around Rs 96 lakhs were seized from them.
Nine mobile phones, a LED TV, a laptop and a set-top box were also seized.
Police conducted a raid late on Sunday after getting a tip about the racket run from behind a school in Dayalband locality on a match played between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi, Agrawal said.
