Public support must to tackle Covid spread: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that till Covid is completely under control, the Government and society will have to fight together against it. This infection can be controlled only through public support. Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang was also present on the occasion.

Chouhan said that there will be no shortage of oxygen in the State. Additional arrangements have been made. Sometimes, the trend of stocking increases in the context of reports of shortage. Strict action will be taken against black marketing and stocking. Presently, 180 lakh tonnes is available. Today, we have also discussed with the Chief Minister of Gujarat to arrange additional oxygen for Madhya Pradesh. As much as 90 percent oxygen has been made reserved for hospitals. Only 10 percent oxygen will be given to industries.

Oxygen arrangements will be made on priority for Corona infected patients. Chouhan said that CT scan arrangements are being made in all the districts as early as possible.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was in a discussion with members of the District  Crisis Management Groups in a video conference from Mantralaya on Saturday. 

Chouhan said that Corona control work is being done in three ways. Practices such as use of face masks, proper distance, frequent hand washing are being encouraged through public awareness. Secondly, every possible arrangement is being made to ensure best treatment and care to patients. At the same time, vaccination work is being paced up in the state.

Oxygen arrangements are being reviewed in the state. A control room under the charge of P. Narhari has also been set up. Every day, the MSME sector of Madhya Pradesh is ensuring the production of oxygen from other state along with the production of oxygen.

Chouhan said that people above 45 years of age should get vaccinated. He said that all citizens should extend support in generating public awareness in the state. The common man is expected to behave in view of Covid.

The public is urged not to leave their houses unnecessarily and cooperate in preventing infection. Chouhan said that I was also sitting on Swasthya Agraha to prevent infection. Many volunteers are supporting this work. Many warriors are also engaged against all odds in the hospitals. They will be honoured.

Chouhan said that there will be a Tika Utsav (Vaccination fest) in the state from April 11, Jyotiba Phule Jayanti to April 14 Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti. Preparations should be completed for this. People should remain serious regarding Covid. The public representatives should explain the use of the mask to the public. Volunteers working in this area are active. Many voluntary organisations are also working.

Chouhan said that Corona infection is spreading more in rural areas of Betul, Chhindwara, Barwani, Khargone, Alirajpur and Jhabua districts. The Kill Corona II campaign will be launched here. Under this, there will be a system of survey and treatment of the affected people at the village level.

The Chief Minister informed that bed capacity is being increased in the state. CCCs are being made more efficient in each district. By the end of this month, even if one lakh come up, arrangements are being made accordingly. About one lakh injections have been arranged and supply also has begun. Additional ventilators are being provided by the Government of India. Arrangements are being made for patients by contracting private hospitals.
