Quarantine those coming from other States: Chhattisgarh CM

Tuesday, 04 May 2021 | Staff Reporter | RAIPUR

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday called for mandatory stay at quarantine centres and Covid-19 tests for those arriving from other States.

He said that in several rural areas of the State, those arriving from other States and returning migrated workers have been found Covid positive.

To put a break to the spread in the villages, those arriving from other states and workers should be put on mandatory quarantine at the centre for a few days.

The centre should be established outside the village, an official communication informed, adding that their Covid test should also be conducted.

Only after their report is negative, they should be allowed to shift to their village.

The Chief Minister directed the Panchayat office bearers, all State Government rural departments’ employees, mitanins, Anganwadi workers and kotwars to keep an eye on those arriving from other states in the villages.

The directive was issued by the Chief Minister after a virtual interaction with mitanins and health workers of Bilaspur and Surguja divisions.
