R'kela club gives 4,500 meals to Covid patients

The Lions Club of Rourkela Pragati has come forward to provide free wholesome meals for Covid  patients at their home. The philanthropic work has been continuing since April 22. The club has been serving free meal both lunch and dinner to Covid patients at their home. So far the club has distributed around 4,500 meals.

It is covering almost every area of Rourkela like Civil Township, Panposh, Uditnagar, Daily Market, Chhend, Basanti Colony, Koel Nagar and Sector etc.The distribution of meal in this peak of summer, has been possible with the support of Anikit Kedia and his team members who are working tirelessly in making, packing and delivering food.

Even during this lockdown and shutdown period, the team members are delivering lunch and dinner packets at the doorstep of the Covid  patients. All the members of the Lions Club of Pragati have wholeheartedly helped in this service and have generously supported for the noble cause.

Club president Lion Parul Khaitan, secretary Lion Megha Beriwal, treasurer Lion Minoo Agarwal, are all working hard for this service to help the patients in these hard times. “This club is really doing a wonderful job. Myself and my other family members who were tested Covid-19 positive and are in home quarantine, are getting packed lunch and dinner free of cost from the Club in proper time in this critical hour,” said SK Jena, a resident of sector 6, Rourkela.
