The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader and national spokesperson Raghav Chadha inaugurated the ‘Vaccination on Wheels’ bus on Sunday to ensure vaccination to the workers living in Loha Mandi area.
In this drive, 150 people are being vaccinated every day without any prior appointments, a senior AAP leader said, adding that party workers are going door-to-door, encouraging people to get the vaccine.
Talking about the move, Chadha said that the target of the Kejriwal government is that even the last person standing in the queue should get the protective cover of the vaccines.
He added that due to the unavailability of smart phones, everyone is not able to get appointments and reach their nearest vaccination centres. To get rid of this problem, the Kejriwal government has arranged this special van, he said.
In this drive, which started on 3rd September, 150 people are being administered the vaccine every day without an appointment. “The person coming here gets registered for vaccination on the spot, after which he/she is vaccinated. There is a team of doctors present at all times which is capable of dealing with any complications during the vaccination,” he said.
"The Kejriwal government aims to reach even the last person standing in the queue for vaccination. Delhi government has already organized free-of-cost vaccine camps in many government schools. This campaign is being received well and the people of the area are also participating enthusiastically,” he added.
