Rajendra Sarilla's ‘Scarlett' a fantasy tale of 15-year-old warrior princess

Rajendra Sarilla, an engineer by education and an educator by profession, has a special talent for storytelling, which he explores as an author and occasionally as a stand-up comedian.

In his book ‘Scarlett – Lost in the Five Lands’ Sarilla pens down the story of a fifteen-year-old girl who lives in a hidden world of benign and powerful beings, but the peace is shattered by a mighty intruder. Scarlett, a warrior princess, gets caught up in the freakish turn of events that follow.

It took Rajendra two years to pen down the story into his first novel, Scarlett – Lost in the Five Lands. "Fantasy literature, inspired me to write. I have always been a passionate reader, but the true inspiration came when I tried to write something of my own and realized that I have a talent for this.

I relish creating powerful characters and fantasy worlds." Rajendra Sarilla, author

'Scarlett' is one of those delectable fantasies that every youngster wants to read these days. It’s a fantasy tale of a fifteen-year-old girl who loses her identity and embarks on a thrilling journey of rediscovering herself, facing social issues like racism and discrimination. It’s an action-packed story with duels and battles.

Fantasy lovers of all ages would enjoy reading the novel even though it is aimed at young adults. Young girls and women would find a special connection with it because of the powerful female characters.

The story has entertaining side characters that add charm to it: powerful villains, crafty assassins, heroes that are worshipped, and vulnerable youngsters justlike Scarlett herself. The story has an imaginative use of fantasy elements and an original fantasy universe that is the product of the author’s imagination.
