Much needed relief from cold weather conditions were witnessed after day temperatures soared on the weekend, day temperatures were recorded above 30 degree Celsius giving feeling of advent of summer.
Bhopal recorded day temperature at 28.9 degree Celsius while night temperature reached comforting level at 14.4 degree Celsius. Appreciation in day and night temperatures was witnessed at several places and pattern would prevail for the next 2-3 days.
Sagar, Shahdol, Sagar and Gwalior divisions witnessed significant increase in temperature in the past 24 hours. The Met department has issued warning of moderate to dense fog Rewa, Satna, Chattarpur, Panna, Gwalior, Datia and Morena districts.
Rewa, Satna and Gwalior witnessed fog in the past 24 hours. Umaria and Mandla recorded lowest night temperature at 5 degree Celsius which was the lowest temperature of the state.
During the next 3 days, no major change in night temperature is likely in most parts of state and later a gradual fall of 3-5 degree Celsius would be witnessed. At present there are easterly winds running at low levels in the plains of North India which is expected to increase the minimum gradually to 2-4 degree Celsius in most parts of Northwest India during the next 48 hours.
After which the direction of the winds is very likely to be changed and would be west and northwest. Due to the above circumstances, no major change in minimum temperature is expected in most parts of Madhya Pradesh during the next 3 days and thereafter a gradual fall of 3-5 degree Celsius.
