Saba Sultan, daughter of Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and the Mutawalli of Auqaf-e-Shahi, has urged the citizens of Bhopal to take special care during the upcoming holy month of Ramzan under the prevailing worrisome circumstances.
Expressing her deep concern over the second wave of the Covid pandemic that has gripped the nation, the Mutawalli has requested people to follow all protocols laid down by the government including wearing a mask when going out, washing hands frequently and maintaining the mandatory social distance. She said that Islam teaches us to importance of preservation of life and it is the social, moral and religious responsibility of people that they save themselves from the deadly virus and if infected, should restrict its spread to others.
Saba Sultan has said that Ramzan is the month of self-discipline, self-evaluation and empathy. Along with the obligatory, sunnah and non-obligatory prayers, it is important that people take out the time for reflection and contemplation in light of the holy month. Apart from these, they need to strictly follow the standard protocols that must be observed to break the chain of spread of the Corona virus and help in bringing a halt to its spread. Community gatherings should be restricted and social distancing must be observed no matter what.
She added that we should all be grateful for all the blessings that the Almighty has granted us and continue to conduct ourselves with humility and wisdom. She wished the Bhopalities a safe, healthy and spiritually enlightening Ramzan and urged people to pray for the well-being of everyone irrespective of faith and religion and specially for an end to this tragedy called Covid-19.
