The Inauguration of Day Boarding Volleyball Center of SAIL-Bokaro Steel Plant in Shibutand village in the backdrop of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav being celebrated in BSL and with the aim of promoting sports in rural areas and nurturing local talent concluded by Executives Director of BSL (Personnel & Administration) Sameer Swarup. On this occasion, BSL's CGM (Personnel) Pawan Kumar, CGM (CED) Shaligram Singh, Head Communications M. Paddy, GM NA Saifi, GM (Water Supply) AK Avinash, DGM (CSR) CRK Sudhanshu, DGM (Finance & Accounts) Anupam , Senior Manager (Sports) Subhash Rajak, Manager (Personnel) Abhishek Aditya and Volleyball Coach Jaideep Sarkar were present. Also during this occasion of the inauguration, a large number of dignitaries and villagers of Shibutand region were also present.
Sharing information COC BSL MK Dhan said that all facilities have been made available for the players in the Day Boarding Volleyball Center opened by BSL in Shibutand. Presently 19 local children have been selected for Day Boarding Volleyball Center which will be trained by Jaideep Sarkar, International Volleyball Coach of BSL.
Free playing kit and volleyball have been provided to all the players by BSL, as well as arrangements have been made for their nutritious diet. Other necessary facilities at Day Boarding Volleyball Center have also been developed by BSL. Addressing the group present at the inauguration, Sameer Swarup, ED (P & A) exuded confidence that this initiative of BSL would help the sports talents of Shibutand and adjoining rural areas to grow and make their mark at the national and international level. The dignitaries present of Shibutand area also appreciated this initiative of BSL.
It is noteworthy that soon BSL is going to start Day Boarding Basketball Center and Grassroots Development Center for Hockey, which will benefit the local players. Apart from this, there are also plans to set up open gyms in two regional villages and two different parts of the township.
