Abhay Kumar Samaiyar has taken over charge of Head of Project at NTPC-Darlipali. Samaiyar has replaced Sunil Kumar Satya who has been appointed as Regional Executive Director for Eastern Region-II. Prior to this, Samaiyar was holding post of GM (O&M) atNTPC-Ramagundam Thermal Power Plant since August, 2020 and has played a determining role in various NTPC stations such as NTPC Ramagundam, NTPC Lara, NTPC Vallur, NTPC Vindhyachal and Corporate Centre (Operation Services).
A BSc Engineering Graduate from Bhagalpur University, Bihar, Samaiyar joined NTPC as Engineering Executive Trainee(EET) in year 1987. Samiyar brings enormous experience of 34 years. He has gained expertise in Mechanical Maintenance, Plant Operation, Operation Services. At present, NTPC Darlipali is running with 800MW(Unit 1) and will soon commercialize its Unit 2 of 800MW.
