The Shri Laxmi Nrusingha People Empowerment Association of Taraboisasan and the Schedule Caste Development Association of Gualigorada jointly organised an agricultural seminar and demonstration to develop agricultural skill of schedule caste (SC) women at Taraboisasan on Saturday.
The Central Institute of Women’s Agriculture (CIWA) watch associate sponsored the programme, in which more than 50 women of 20 villages of Nimapara and Satyabadi blocks participated to learn how to improve agriculture skill of women and how to use information technology in agricultural field. Senior scientist of CIWA Dr Praveen Jhakar inaugurated programme.
Among others, scientist Dr Sachitananda Swain, Nimapara BDO Basanta Mallick, Puri District Agriculture Centre head Dr Sanjaya Mohanty and Dr Sumitra Acharya attended as guests of honour.
A demonstration of modern agricultural tools was held. Lecturer Dr Prados Kumar Pati, Babaji Pradhan, Purnachandra Sahoo, Ajaya Rout, Jagannath Sahoo, Milan Parida coordinated the programme.
