Shaswat Mishra, a Class-X student of the DAV Public School Chandrasekharpur, here has been in news for his innovative low-cost 3-D printer. The printer costs one-third of its market counterpart but has more efficacy, claimed by the budding innovator.
Shaswat has been involved with the project for last two years. With the help of materials like arduino, stepper motor, filament, extruder, hotend, heated bed, ramp, wood, etc., he has developed the machine which would be a boost to Skill India as well as vocal for local initiatives. The printer would be very helpful in prototyping new products at low prices and less time.Previously, Shaswat was honoured by the IIIT and the Institute of Physics for his novel innovations. An ardent lover of Physics, he is now aspiring to augment Bionic Arm for the physically-challenged.Shaswat was congratulated and honoured by the school Principal Dr KC Satapathy, who assured all possible assistance for his future researches. The school authorities, teachers, students and parents also congratulated him for his unique feat.
