Schools in Chhattisgarh for Class 1-5 and Classes 8, 10 and 12 resumed on Monday amid restrictions linked to Covid-19.
The physical attendance of students has been capped at 50 percent and they will attend school by rotation.
Education Minister Premsai Singh Tekam formally inaugurated the schools at ‘Shala Pravesh Utsav’ function held at R.D. Tiwari English Medium School of Raipur. Later, he inspected over a dozen of schools in the capital and its outskirts. Coloured balloons were released on the occasion and the students were welcomed by applying a ‘tilak’. The Minister also offered sweets and distributed school books to the students.
He urgedvthe students to adhere to the Covid protocol. Schools were shut in the state in March 2020. Classes 6, 7, 9 and 11 will continue online.
