Monday, 01 March 2021 | PNS | Ranchi

About Nine lakh students of 8th, 9th and 11th classes will attend regular classes in schools from Monday. The 14114 the Government schools to reopen include Netarhat Residential School, Indira Gandhi Girls Residential School, Kasturba Gandhi Residential School and other residential schools of the Welfare Department. Before the school opens, the Jharkhand Education Project Council (JPCC) has instructed all districts to follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

Before the school reopens, it will be compulsory to clean the schools and send their photo to the department, so that it can be known whether cleanliness has actually taken place or not.

Before opening the schools, in many places in the school buildings, the information related to the Corona virus has to be written and pasted and the students will be shown the videos related to the Corona virus in the schools. In the event of an emergency, preparations will also have to be made at the school level to provide medical facilities to children immediately.

Apart from classes no other activities allowed in the schools. Before coming to school, students will have to bring a letter of permission from their parents. No cultural programmes of any kind will be organized in the schools.

In this regard, the State Project Director of the Council, Shailesh Kumar Cherasia, has instructed all Regional Education Deputy Directors, District Education Officers and District Education Directors to open the Government schools. It has also been said that schools used as quarantine centers will open only after special cleanliness. Also, a list of all such schools has been asked to make available to the State Project Office on Google Sheet.

"Sanitation will be done in the vicinity of the playground along with the area around the school premises. The schools which were used as quarantine centers will undergo special sanitation. The JPCC has clearly stated that the benches and desks in the class should be kept in such a way that the distance between two students is not less than six feet. In order to follow physical distance in schools, circles should be made at school entrance restaurants and other places. In the school, soap or hand wash should be arranged in place of hand washing with toilet service. Teachers should motivate students to wash their hands from time to time," said Chaurasia.
