Amidst the ongoing projects of strengthening of road and air connectivity in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the seaplane services would soon be launched in Ramgarh Tal of Gorakhpur.
Addressing people from the stage of Gorakhpur Mahotsav on Wednesday, the CM said: “The process in this regard will start soon. The main speciality of this plain is that it can also land in water. There are nine flights from Gorakhpur to all major cities of the country, and soon the international flight will start from Kushinagar.”
Speaking on the closing ceremony of the two-day Gorakhpur Mahotsav on Wednesday, the CM said modern infrastructure needs development and people should get the benefits. “In the coming days, anyone can board a plane from the circuit house and fly to any corner across India,” he added.
Adityanath also unfurled the tallest national flag in the state. Being 246-feet high, it is the 10th highest national flag in the country and is visible from a distance of 15 kilometers. He also virtually inaugurated the gateway of Naya Savera and the Buddha Gate near Padleganj.
At the closing ceremony of Gorakhpur Mahotsav, motorised tricycles were provided to 100 divyangs by the chief minister.
Bhajan singer Nandu Mishra, Chief Warden of Civil Defense Sanjeev Gulati, ophthalmologist Dr Narendra Mohan Seth, Meenakshi Narayan who discovered God particle in the field of science, Dr Ramchet Chaudhary who discovered five species of Kalanamak rice, olympian Ali Saeed & Arjun Awardee Prem Maya, international wrestler Amarnath Yadav and entrepreneur Jyoti Maskara were conferred with ‘Gorakhpur Ratna’ awards by the CM.
Urging people to follow Covid-19 protocols even after getting vaccinated, Adityanath said: “The vaccination against coronavirus will start from January 16 under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Have patience and wait for your turn, do not rush for vaccination.” The CM said Gorakhpur has the potential to become a hub of readymade garments.
About the zoo, he said Gorakhpur’s is the most beautiful zoo in the state. He also promised to give a huge auditorium to the Taramandal area this year.
About the Chauri-Chaura incident, he said: “From February 4 this year to February 4 next year, there will be daily events reminding us of the incident which played a decisive role in the freedom movement.”
