Send funds to beneficiaries’ accounts: Min orders officials

Send funds directly to the accounts of the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh issued these instructions during a review of departmental schemes. He said that necessary action should be taken in this regard within the time-limit.

Singh said that on September 17, 100 saplings each should be planted in all urban bodies. The plants should be taken care of till they become trees. He said that the urban bodies should review the works under the CM infrastructure head. So far, 149 out of 382 approved works have been completed under the scheme.

While reviewing the Swachh Bharat Mission works, Singh said that continuous monitoring of the ongoing works in various clusters is necessary for integrated solid waste management. He said that better mechanism of waste management should be made for other bodies also. Shri Singh directed to complete the tap water and sewerage projects within the stipulated time frame. Urban Development and Housing Minister Singh said that the work of Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Urban Livelihood Mission is not satisfactory. The work in this plan should be in mission mode. He said that self-help groups should be formed as per rules. Principal Secretary Urban Development and Housing Manish Singh and Commissioner Urban Administration and Development Nikunj Kumar Srivastava and other officers were present.
