Seven deaths have been reported in three different incidents in Dhanbad in which two women, a kid and a police officer have died on Tuesday besides a truck driver was shot dead by unknown miscreants.
Two incidents were reported in Govindpur locality and one has been reported in Patherdih locality.
In one of the incidents a speeding car in which five persons including two men, two women and a kid were travelling fell in a 70 to 80 feet deep ditch near Palaodin village on National Highway 2 early in morning today.
Those killed happen to be residents of Mandu -Ramgarh. Govindpur police station in-charge Umesh Singh said that car was in very high speed when incidents took place.The driver probably fell asleep as could not control the car that jumped the side guard wall of bridge and fell in the local rivulet killing all five on spot. The males who died have been identified as Washim Akram and Shaikh Akthar, both residents of Mandu. The family members have been informed of the incident and bodies have been sent to SNMMCH for autopsy, said Singh.
In another accident that took place at Patherdih a trainee police ASI Suman Singh died on spot while the two-wheeler on which he was travelling collided with a tanker.His colleague Mukesh Rawat also a trainee ASI has sustained multiple injuries and has been admitted to a local hospital.
In the third incident Govinpur police recovered the bullet ridden body of tanker driver Anwar Shekh also on National Highway 2 .Police recovered two empty bullets from truck and body of the driver on driver’s seat . The truck was coming from Haldiya port and was probably on its way to Tamilnadu.
The cleaner of the tanker is missing . Police have called the tanker owner for completing the formalities on the basis of the vehicle numbers.
