Sikh youths organise ‘Plants Langar’

Tuesday, 11 May 2021 | PNS | Jamshedpur

Taking a cue from the Oxygen Langar organised by Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, All India Sikh Students Federation on Monday organised ‘Plants Langar’ and distributed the plants in front of Sakchi Gurdwara.

The idea was to unite people to save the environment. Hundreds of plants were distributed among the people for free. The beneficiaries promised to take up plantation.

Meanwhile, the National General Secretary of All India Sikh Students Federation, Satnam Singh Gambhir said that in our Gurbani it is written that ‘Pavan Guru Pani Pita, Mata Dharat Mahat’ meaning Air is the Guru, Water the Father, and the Earth. To serve the earth and to save the environment, we have taken up the initiative of plantation.

Inder Singh Inder and Amarjeet Singh Bhamra said that every class should come forward and plant saplings for a clean environment. On the occasion, Sarabjit Singh, Amarjeet Singh, Gurdit Singh Chola, Manpreet Singh, Sarabjit Singh, Harpal Singh and Kanwaljit Singh were present.
