Chhattisgarh Health Minister T.S. Singh Deo on Monday reviewed the progress of the Covid vaccination drive as well as progress in construction of a new medical college.
The Minister inquired about the progress in vaccinating frontline workers (FLWs) and health workers in the state, a press release said.
He also compared the progress of Chhattisgarh’s Covid vaccination with other states. Chhattisgarh is among the top 10 states performing well in Covid vaccination, the press release said.
He also inquired about the progress in administering the second dose of Covid vaccination. He asked officials to prepare an action plan for the future and consider increasing the number of days for vaccination if needed.
Meanwhile, the Health Department said that by Monday 80.61 percent of health workers in Chhattisgarh were administered the first dose of Covid vaccine. Also, 10.12 percent health workers have received the second dose of the vaccine.
Further, 59.89 percent of the frontline workers were also vaccinated by Monday.
