The city has witnessed mild decline in fresh Covid cases in the last 24-hours. For the first time recoveries also went up.
A total of 562 fresh cases were reported while 732 people were declared free of coronavirus infection on Sunday.
The health department conducted a total of 2,927 Covid tests in Jamshedpur. City reported 11 deaths on Sunday while the district’s positive cases tally has mounted to 42,389. The death toll has climbed to 830. The total active cases are 6,591.
Meanwhile, the district police led by senior superintendent M Tamil Vanan visited Sakchi market to ensure no shops were open during lockdown. The police personnel also stopped an auto-rickshaw driver who was seen ferrying more than four passengers. The drivers were warned and the extra passengers were asked to travel in other auto.
