A preparatory meeting was held on Monday at the Capital High School here for celebration of the State capital foundation day. Owing to Covid restrictions, this time the usual three-day-long celebration from April 13 to 15 would be limited to one day only on April 13.
It was decided that people would gather at the Capital Foundation Stone site. BDA and PWD Division-1 have been requested to make the site attractive. A special event wouldl be organised in the evening to felicitate 13 eminent citizens with ‘Rajdhani Gourv’ honour. The State Assembly Speaker has been invited to grace the occasion.Various institutions like commercial establishments, towers and prominent Government buildings would be illuminated to mark the foundation day.
The meeting was chaired by Rajdhani Pratistha Utstav Committee president Pradosh Patnaik, The Bhubaneswar ADM, representatives of BDA, BMC, CRPF, Traffic police and PWD and HMs of various schools were present. Committee vice-president Pradyumna Mohanty proposed a vote of thanks.
