State gets Rs 320.94 crore as flood aid

The High Level Committee (HLC) under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday approved an additional Central assistance of Rs 1,751.05 crore under the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) to five States, including Odisha, which were affected by floods and landslides during southwest monsoon-2020 and hailstorm during Rabi season 2019-20.For floods and landslides a sum of Rs 437.15 crore was approved for Assam, Rs 75.86 crore for Arunachal Pradesh, Rs 320.94 crore for Odisha, Rs 245.96 crore for Telangana, and Rs 386.06 crore for Uttar Pradesh.For hailstorm during Rabi season 2019-20, Rs 285.08 crore was approved for Uttar Pradesh.
