The weather in Uttarakhand is likely to witness rainy days well into the middle of next week.
According to the state meteorological centre light to moderate rain/thunderstorm/snowfall is likely to occur at many places in the mountainous regions of Uttarakhand on Saturday. Very light to light rain/thunderstorm is likely to occur at a few places in the plains of Uttarakhand. Similar weather is forecast to continue in the state till May 11.
It is pertinent to mention here that during the past few days, incidents of heavy rainfall have been experienced in parts of Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Uttarkashi districts where some damage was caused by debris. However, no loss of human life has been caused by these recent spells of heavy rain.
