The State on Tuesday registered 428 Covid-19 cases in 22 districts and the State pool, with which the total tally rose to 10,17,261.
Of the new cases, 55 cases were detected in the 0 to 18 year age group.
In the last 24 hours, 48,086 samples were tested and the test positivity rate (TPR) was 0.89 per cent. The active cases stood at 6,290.
Khordha district reported the day’s highest 179 cases followed by Cuttack with 46, Jagatsinghpur 20, Mayurbhanj and Baleswar 18 each and Puri 15.
The district which reported below-10 cases were Sambalpur nine, Nayagarh eight, Sundargarh six, Angul five, Ganjam, Rayagada, Nuapada and Deogarh four each, Bargarh three and Gajapati one.
Besides, 42 cases were reported from the State pool.
The State reported four more deaths, with which the total toll mounted to 8,108.
Khordha district reported two deaths and Puri and Cuttack one each.
However, 793 persons recovered on the day, increasing the total recoveries to 10,03,603.
