Saturday, 06 November 2021 | PNS

Taking note of the worsened air quality due to Diwali celebrations, Punjab Health and Family Welfare Department on Friday advised the people to stay indoors, and avoid outdoor activities until the air quality index improves. Notably, the air quality index (AQI) in Jalandhar and Amritsar was in the “very poor” category, while in Patiala and Ludhiana, it was in the “poor” category. Ropar is the only district in the State that was in the green zone (satisfactory) category.
