A ceremony of foundation-stone laying for a community centre in the premises of the Capital Mosque at Unit-4 here was held last week. The programme was inaugurated by Rajya Sabha BJD member Amar Pattnaik. Muslim pilgrims would be benefitted by this community centre by availing all facilities free of cost.
Among others, Rajya Sabha BJD members Sujit Kumar, Muna Khan and Subash Singh, Bhubaneswar Central MLA Ananta Narayan Jena, for Kantabanjhi MLA Ayub Khan and Unit-4 Jama Mosque president Sheikh Sakilur Raheman. Sheikh Abdul Kalam coordinated the event. On occasion, Chairman of Jazba Trust and famous social worker Safdar Hashim, Saha Nawaj and Samsur Raheman Khan were felicitated. Muslim community members of Jadupur, Sundarpada and Satya Vihar along with Corporators of Bhubaneswar, senior citizens and social workers joined the meeting.
