Stone-sculpting workshop continues

A 15-day stone-sculpting workshop camp is being organized at Home Guard Line.  The workshop is organized under the Amrit Mahotsav of 75th Independence. This workshop will be held till December 27.

Artists including Bhupesh Kavadia (Udaipur), Pankaj Gehlot (Pali), Karuna Murthy (Chennai), Rajasekharan Nair (Thiruvananthapuram), Jitendra Ojha (Baroda), Rakesh Bhatnagar (Bangalore), Robin David (Bhopal), Neeraj Ahirwar (Bhopal) ), Chandrasen Jadhav (Gwalior), Pramod Sharma (Bhopal), Anil Kumar (Bhopal), Khanderao Pawar (Indore) and other participating craftsmen are presenting their art.

Artist Bhupesh Kavadia (Udaipur) told that during the year 1989, while doing theatre, started the work of making figures on stone. In the early stages, self-prepared for the books kept at home. Gradually, many different shapes were prepared and today it has been almost 31 years working on stone. Sculpting in Stone In the exposed workshop, they are creating new artwork by adding steel to stone. It has been many decades since the figures were made on stone.

In the workshop, we will prepare a stone book on education, which will give the message that being educated and acquiring knowledge is the most important thing. Also, artist Pankaj Gehlot (Pali) told that it has been more than 35 years for him giving figures on stone. He is fond of making masterpieces on black stone. In this workshop, he is preparing a figure based on the relationship between man and nature.
