Talcher cops organises blood donation camp

A voluntary blood donation camp was organised by the Talcher Sub Divisional Police administration at the Colliery police station here.   Sub Divisional Police Officer , Nitesh Wadhwani inaugurated the camp and said donation of blood is a noble act and every one should join it.

 He donated the first unit of blood in the camp and welcomed all the police personnel and staff and others who turned up for blood donation. "It will solve the need of the patients of SD Hospital, Talcher upon which the needy patients from Pallahara, Kamakhyanagar, Talcher and part of Angul are highly dependent," viewed the intellectuals here. Blood donors from around the sub division, CISF personnel, Constables, Home Guards, security guards came to the camp and donated blood.

The camp started from 9.30 am and with the help of the staffs of Odisha Blood Bank, SD Hospital, Talcher, 115 units of blood were collected.

Camp organiser Balaram Pati, social activist Khirod Sahu, IIC of Talcher PS Satyabrata Rout, SI of police, Bikram Bhuyan, SI Gobind Chandra Sahu, SI Prasant Sethi were present to encourage and serve the donors.
