Tanker with adulterated Sanchi milk seized; instructions issued to check adulteration

DIG Indore Manish Kapuria and Indore collector Manish Singh have given a clear instruction to keep an eagle eye on the culprits involved in adulteration.

Indore ADM Abhay Bedekar received an information from the officials of the Sanchi Milk plant Indore that the tanker coming from Dhar district are carrying adulterated milk and the seal of the tankers are tampered. The original milk is taken out from the tanker and sold to different Dhabas on the way, and to level the tanker water and other liquid is poured into it.

A team, lead by Indore crime branch SP Guruprasad Parashar, followed the tanker from Dhar and caught the tanker near Sanchi milk plant near Lasudia  police station area.

The food officers and Sanchi milk plant officers reached the spot and took the sample of milk from the tanker and the milk was found adulterated in first investigation. The sample of the milk has been sent to the laboratory for further investigation.

Police arrested the driver Kamlesh Rajput and cleaner Dayaram Ahirwar under IPC section379, 406,272, 273. In past also, the adulteration in the Sanchi milk was traced by Indore police and the accused, who with the help of different chemicals use to prepare duplicate milk and fill it in the tankers of the Sanchi milk plant, were arrested.

After this incident the Sanchi milk plant had introduced seal system and equipped the tanker with GPS that carried milk to the Sanchi plants. When The Pioneer contacted the CEO A N Dwivedi of Sanchi milk plant Indore after repeated calls he picked up the phone and refused to talk anything on phone.
