Making a statement in the State Assembly on Friday, Minister for Skill Development and Technical Education Premananda Nayak announced that the Government has waived hostel fee to the tune of Rs 5.10 crore of 17,012 students in all Government technical universities, engineering colleges and polytechnics from April 2020 to December 2020 as during the period students were not using hostel facilities. The Minister said the Government has sympathetically considered the waiver of fees.
