In a boost for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ahead of the crucial Punjab Assembly polls, Dalip Singh, popularly known as ‘The Great Khali’ of WWE-fame, on Thursday met Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announcing his support to the party.
Kejriwal, tweeting his picture alongside the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) wrestler, claimed to change Punjab together. Delhi Chief Minister said that Khali praised the AAP Government’s work on electricity, water, schools, and hospitals in Delhi, and .
“Today, I met The Great Khali, a wrestler who has made India famous all over the world. He liked the work done on electricity, water, and school and hospital in Delhi. Now that we have done, all this work in Punjab too, we will change Punjab together,” Kejriwal wrote on Twitter. Khali has a fan base in Punjab and is expected to benefit AAP in the campaigning.
AAP has announced that it will contest all the Assembly seats in 2022 Punjab elections, scheduled to be held in February-March.
