Eminent theatre artist, director Devendraraj Ankur interacted with students in a session on Thursday. He was the chief guest and at Vishwa Rang held at Rabindranath Tagore University National School of Drama 'Sopan'.
On this occasion, Devendra Raj Ankur said that the inauguration of Tagore National School of Drama in Bhopal is a historic creative cultural event. Poet-story writer Santosh Choubey, wholly devoted to art, literature, culture and theatre, has done this magical work. The art of theater and acting is the most difficult art in the world. In this the artist has his own body and voice. Through these, the artist with his acting and dialogue delivery conveys his words to the audience in a perfect way and creates a new history.
On this occasion, Santosh Choubey said that training in drama works to make you a better human being. Drama brings about a change in your personality from within. When you go through drama, you become sensitive and full of human qualities from within.
Santosh Choubey further said that we will soon establish National Schools of Drama dedicated to folk arts in Bilaspur and Khandwa also.
Manoj Nair, director of Tagore National School of Drama, said that we will give priority to theatrical work by making full use of new experimental methods of folk arts in the field of drama. Through this, our artists will be able to establish a direct on-ground relationship with their folk arts and their contribution towards the protection of folk arts will also be possible.
