A three-day research seminar on the topic "Nomadic Community: Oral Traditions" is being organized by Tribal Lok Kala and Boli Vikas Akademi, MP Sanskriti Parishad in the auditorium of Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum. On the second day of the seminar, on Wednesday, research papers were presented on the topic of deities, festivals and beliefs and social organizations.
Director Dharmendra Pare, Mukesh Mishra along with other scholars were present during the sessions. The first session of the seminar was presided over by Puran Sehgal, conducted by Shubham Chauhan and the keynote speaker Ujjwala Samadhan Dange from Maharashtra and the report was given by Vibha Thakur. The keynote speaker presented his research paper on Bharadia nomadic community.
He said that the people of Bharadia community do not marry in the same gotra. Marriage takes place here according to the total tradition and at the time of marriage, instead of the girl's, the boy's dowry is given. This community earns its living by begging for alms and Bhairavnath is worshiped by the community.
Presiding over the seminar, Puran Sehgal said that all the speakers worked hard in their research papers. He further told that a common thing was seen among the Banjara community and other communities that when they move from one place to another, their language changes. They adapt themselves to that environment. During the second session of the seminar, it was conducted by Rahul Singh Parihar and the seminar was chaired by P.C.Lal Yadav and the keynote speaker Suryakant Bhagwan Bhise was present.
