Three more people died from coronavirus in Haryana on Friday as 281 fresh cases pushed the State’s infection count to 2,64,442, according to a Health Department bulletin. So far, 2,943 people have succumbed to the disease in the State, it said.
On Friday, one death each was reported from Faridabad, Jhajjar and Jind districts. Gurgaon reported the maximum 63 infections followed by 48 in Faridabad, the bulletin said. Currently, the State has 2,501 active cases while 2,58,998 patients have so far been discharged after treatment, with the recovery rate hovering around 97.94 per cent.
1 DEATH, 54 CASES IN CHANDIGARH
The union territory of Chandigarh reported one more Covid-19 related death as 54 fresh positive cases surfaced on Friday. “With this, the total case tally reached 20210 and the death toll stood at 326 in the city,” as per the Chandigarh Health Department’s evening bulletin.
As per the bulletin, there were 238 active cases till the evening. 55 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours pushing the total number of recoveries to 19637.
Among 54 fresh cases, 30 were males and 24 were females. A maximum of six positive cases were detected in Sector 43, it stated. 1.90 lakh samples have so far been tested in the city.
