Three Naxalites involved in incidents of torching vehicles and firing at security forces were arrested from Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, police said on Tuesday.
They were identified as Madvi Pojja, a Militia Section Commander, and cadres Velkam Malla alias Mallaya and Gatpalli Mukta alias Muthaiya, Bijapur Superintendent of Police Kamlochan Kashyap said.
The cadres were apprehended on Monday from their village Dharmavaram by a joint team of the Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) and local police, he said.
They were involved in incidents of looting, setting ablaze construction vehicles and machines and firing on security personnel between 2019 and 2021 in the district.
