Friday, 17 September 2021 | PNS | Chandigarh

Three rebel Ministers — including Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, and Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa — have refused to be participate in Punjab Cabinet meeting, scheduled to be held on Friday via video confrencing. The ministers maintained that they have already clarified that they would not participate in a virtual Cabinet meeting. “When the Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh can attend parties, go to rallies, why cannot he attend the Cabinet physically and hold it in virtual mode,” said one of the Minister.

The previous Cabinet meeting was also skipped by three Cabinet Ministers, which was held days after they raised the demand to oust Capt Amarinder, and declared that they do not have any trust in his leadership.

The meeting, scheduled to be held on Friday afternoon, is scheduled to take up the issue of regularisation of employees. It has been learnt that a Bill regarding the same will be tabled in  the Cabinet, and given nod after which it will be presented in the assembly session to regularize about 20,000 employees.
