In view of an expansion in Haryana over the next few months Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) inaugurated its first office in Haryana's Gurugram on Wednesday. Party's Rajya Sabha MP and Haryana In-charge Sukhendu Sekhar Roy and newly inducted Haryana leader Ashok Tanwar were present on the occasion.
Addressing the media after the opening ceremony the party leader said the Party will fight Municipal Corporation and Assembly elections all across the State to work for people.
They said the party will open a party office in each of the 22 Haryana districts and begin membership programs by the end of March 2022. Later this year, the party will choose where it will have its state headquarters.
Former Congress leader Ashok Tanwar told the media that the Congress party in Haryana have no political milage and is included in wrong politics and even the party encroached on the Gurugram party office land while the BJP built his office with the help of black money.
"In the next few months, TMC will emerge as a major party in the state and are confident to make government over here. The party will work for the people of the state. The party will not make any coalition in the future as well," Tanwar said.
According to Roy, Gurugram is the hub of industries and corporates which is very close to the national capital, and therefore the party decided to start functioning from there.
"It is an opportunity to the people of Haryana that if they want real progress in the state so they must elect Mamta Banerjee's led TMC government in Haryana. Ashok Tanwar who has deep roots in Haryana politics will play a major role to address problems and working on the ground," Roy said.
Roy, who has a responsibility for the party's development in Haryana and beyond Delhi said, the party will put all its best efforts to expand its political theory in the state.
