Principal Advisor to Chief Minister and WODC Chairman Asit Tripathy on Sunday directed senior officials of Kalahandi to work out an action plan for elevating the district’s development to next higher phase.
He emphasised on promotion of local entrepreneurship and private-sector investment in cash crops, sericulture, fishery, animal husbandry , horticulture, food processing and other agro-based industries. He also stressed on crop diversification and fullest use of the irrigation potential created.
Tripathy along with Minister Dibya Sankar Mishra and officials visited different places in the district and reviewed the developmental scenario.
The team visited the under-construction town hall, Government medical college at Bhangadari, goat breeding centre at Jaring, Biju Patnaik Sports Complex at Junagarah, renovation of Netra Chikischalaya, art village of Chhoriagarh and the under-construction Biju Express Highway.
