Two drug peddlers were arrested with smack worth Rs 25 lakhs under the Baretta police station limits in Gwalior. The due were arrested after a brief encounter with the police.
According to sources in the Gwalior police, SP Amit Sanghi got information that drug peddlers were moving from Manpuri towards Gwalior with smack. On getting the information SP Sanghi formed two teams and asked them to apprehend the peddlers on the way.
The Team under Crime Branch inspector Satish Yadav and ASI Nitin Chillar apprehended the peddlers on Naunagir Road near the city. The peddlers were identified as Indrajeet Tomar, and Jitendra Parmar, both residents of Porcha.
According to sources in the police the confiscated smack is worth over Rs 25 lakh in the international market. The police also said that the accused Indrajeet Tomar and Jitendra Parmar have been drug peddlers for some time now.
