U’khand Govt working on principle of Antyodaya, says CM Dhami

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the Uttarakhand government is working on the principle of ‘Antyodaya’ under which efforts are being made to provide the benefit of government schemes to the last person standing on the social ladder. He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of ‘Pahal 2021’ organised by Uttarakhand Jan Vikas Samiti at IRTD auditorium here on Saturday.

Dhami said that the state government is doing every possible effort for wholesome development of the state which is possible only by development of every citizen. He said that during the pandemic of Covid-19, difficulties were faced by people in different sectors.

The CM said that the Uttarakhand Government provided relief packages for affected people in different sectors during the pandemic of Covid-19. He informed that economic packages were given in health, tourism and transport sectors and incentives were provided to the frontline health workers during the pandemic period.

Appreciating the efforts of Uttarakhand Jan Vikas Samiti, CM said that many initiatives are being taken by it.

The CM added that the Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi has given a target to make Uttarakhand a leading state in every sector by the year 2025 and the state government is working in this direction.

Dhami said that under PM Modi, India has got a new identity globally and the Uttarakhand government is getting help from the union government in every field.

The president of the Jan Vikas Samiti, Sanjay Uniyal, Digvijay Singh and others were present on the occasion.
