UPNL employees warn to intensify protest’

Monday, 01 March 2021 | PNS | Dehradun

The UPNL employees would be forced to further intensify their protest if the State Government would continue to ignore their genuine demands.

This was stated by the president of the Uttarakhand Purva Sainik Nigam Limited Employees Union, Kushagra Joshi on the seventh day of the protest of contractual UPNL employees. He said that the employees are currently protesting peacefully at the protesting site near Ekta Vihar in Sahastradhara Road but the government has still not initiated any dialogue with them. He said the protestors are mainly demanding for the regularisation of the employees in the government departments besides equal pay for equal work for every employee. He said the association will continue the protest till the government approves all the demands, said Joshi.
