Vatsalya Yojana helping kids orphaned in pandemic: CM

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that loss of children who lost their parents during pandemic period cannot be compensated but Uttarakhand government is doing its best to provide every possible help to them. The state government has started a Mukhyamantri Vatsallya Yojana (MVY) for such children. Dhami handed over cheques to three students of Women Institute of Technology (WIT) under MVY at his residence on Wednesday. CM presented a cheque of Rs 1.70 lakhs to Garima Sharma who is 3rd year Computer science and engineering student, Rs 56,100 to Alvina Khanum of 4rth year Electrical engineering and Rs 27,500 to Shipra Negi of 4rth year electrical engineering. It is worth mentioning here WIT has refunded fees of of these students under MVY. The institute would not charge fees from these students for remaining period of their course.
