Vishwarang Mahotsav opens with international Mushaira

The day-2 of ‘Vishwarang Mahotsav’ opened with an International Mushaira on Friday. Famous poet from the US Farhat Shahzad started his Ghazal with ‘Pyar Ghadi Bhar Ka Bhi Bahut Hai, Jhootha Sachha Mat Socha Kar’ while Mumbai’s Shayar Shakeel Azmi presented his couplet ‘Aankh Milte Hi Nayi Chal Mein Aa Jata Hai, Dil Parinda Hai Tere Jaal Mein Aa Jata Hai; Tere Rone Ki Khabar Rakhti Hain Aankhein Meri, Tere Ansu Mein Rumaal Aa Jata Hai’ which captivated the audience. Shayar Vadra Vasti hosted the Mushaira in which many eminent Shayars including Alok Shrivastava, Nusrat Mehndi, Shaad Jalandhar, Khushbeer Singh, Iqbal Ansar left the audience spellbound. A large number of people gathered to enjoy this Mushaira.

Minister Kamal Patel graced the welcome ceremony of Vishwarangwith his presence and expressed his pleasure on being part of such a wonderful fest. Minister Kamal Patel said that it is a matter of great pride for us that the Art and Literature Fest being organised in Bhopal has become world-wide. As of now more than 26 countries are participating in the fest bringing various arts and artists on a single platform.

Children’s Fair Carnival begins

The Children's Fair Carnival was also inaugurated today at Vishwarang. A series of workshops for painting, mask making, kite flying, color mixing, pottery etc. were organised for the children in the carnival. Different activities were taught to children, in these workshops, who took part actively.

A famous children's movie 'Pahuna: The Little Visitors’ was screened at Vishwarang on Friday. This movie is an Indian-Nepali language film produced by Priyanka Chopra and directed by Pakhi Tyrewala. The film narrates the story of the hardships and survival of three children separated from their families while fleeing the political instability and complex environment in Nepal. Following the screening The film's co-producer Pragya Rathore while interacting with the youth, talked about the nuances related to film making and children cinema.

An exciting workshop on Mandala Art was organised for children in a session of Vishwarang fest. Mandala Artiste Pooja Jalori taught children how to make simple Mandala designs. She said that doodle pen, compass and scale are needed to make Mandala art. “Mandala art is also called as meditative art or therapeutic art because Mandala design calms your mind,” the artist said. Pooja Jalori made amazing Mandala designs for children in her workshop.
