An online event of 'International Nurses Day' was organised by Institute of Nursing of Rabindranath Tagore University on Monday.
The programme was inaugurated by the welcome address of Madhumita Tosin, Assistant Professor Nursing Department.
After this, Manisha Gupta, Principal Nursing Department expressed her views on last year's theme of this day 'Voice of Nurses: One look at future health'.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor of the University Brahm Prakash Pethia, Registrar Vijay Singh and Dean Nursing Department CP Mishra expressed their views and congratulated everyone.
Manisha said that this day is celebrated every year by remembering the birthday of Florence Nightingale who started nursing. Mrs. Manisha thanked all the nurses of the world through the Department of Nursing and congratulated this day.
In the second wave of this corona, all the nurses are performing their duty with hard work and dedication at their respective places. He also thanked the students of the Nursing Department for their significant contribution to the corona vaccination.
After this, students and teachers also expressed their views and congratulated the nurses day. Video Make Competition was also organized on this day. At the end of the program, all students and professors prayed by lighting candles and paying tribute to the Corona warriors and those who have lost their lives. All nurses wished the sick people to be well soon.
