To observe World Health Day, a webinar on “The mere negligence throttle the sense of real health” was organised at Rabindranath Tagore University on Wesnesday.
World Health Day is a global health awareness day is observed every year on April 7 to draw worldwide attention to a subject of major importance to global health each year. The theme for 2021 is "Building a fairer, healthier world".
With this purpose, World Health Day was organized at Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU) on Wednesday, by the Centre for Science Communication (CSC) and Faculty of Science through an Online Webinar on the topic “The mere negligence throttle the sense of real health”.
The expert Lecture was delivered by Dr. Narayanan Ganesh, Oncologists and Head, Dept of Research, Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Bhopal
At the outset, Prabal Roy, Director, Centre for Science Communication (CSC), RNTU welcomed all the Guests and participants who were more than 100 in number. While mentioning the relevance of organizing Health day he explained the main objectives of CSC and the Science popularization activities organized at RNTU.
The expert speaker N Ganesh explained in detail about various methods of maintaining our good health. He talked in lucid language of various diseases viz. Cancer, its warning signals, its sources, harmful effects and the steps to prevent Cancer.
In his lecture he also talked about Corona virus, Immunity boosting Diet and how to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection. He said we must know how to live with the disease.
At the end Ganesh answered many questions from the participants and appreciated RNTU for arranging such a useful programme which is very beneficial to the society.
