The Delhi Police has arrested a woman along with her lover and their associate for allegedly killing her husband in the national Capital.
The accused have been identified as Bhuri Devi and Dinesh, both residents of Badaun district in UP and Rajesh.
According to Atul Kyumar Thakur, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South district, on September 8, information was received regarding the death of a labourer at a construction site near gate number 3, Malviya Nagar Metro Station.
“Police went to the spot and found body of Munish (21), a resident of Badayun district in UP. There were scratch marks on the neck of deceased. The post-mortem got conducted at AIIMS in which manual strangulation/homicide revealed as cause of death,” said the DCP.
“During investigation, it was revealed that deceased and his fellow labourer Rajesh were sent for some work on the terrace at around 8 PM September 7 by the contractor. After finishing the work, Munish went to first floor and Rajesh went to ground floor to sleep,” said the DCP, adding that on September 8 morning, Munish was found in an unconscious state.
“A team went to Badayun to the village of Munish. Local intelligence was developed where it came to know that Bhuri Devi, wife of deceased, was allegedly having an extra marital affair with Dinesh. When Munish came to know about her affair, he and his father had scolded Dinesh,” said the DCP.
“Dinesh was brought to Delhi and interrogated where admitted his role along with Rajesh and in connivance with Bhuri in the murder of Munish. He disclosed that he wanted to marry Bhuri but Munish was against their relationship. So, he conspired with Bhuri and also took Rajesh in confidence,” said the DCP.
“Dinesh sneaked into the construction site with the help of Rajesh. On September 8 around 2:30 am, he killed Munish by pressing his neck with the help of Rajesh and fled from the spot,” said the DCP.
Rajesh also supported the version of Dinesh. Bhuri was arrested from Badayun who admitted that she was in love with Dinesh and they both decided to marry each other, but her husband was the obstacle between their relationship. They both decided to eliminate him at his work place in Delhi so that nobody could not suspect their role in his death, police said.
