Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Saturday that the government is determined to provide justice to every deprived section of the society.
This includes the ‘Shakambhari’ community, he said. In the last two-and-a-half-years, drastic transformations have occurred in the agriculture sector, bringing positive changes in the lives of farmers and enhanced their incomes.
Baghel was virtually addressing the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed office bearers of the Chhattisgarh Shakambhari Board.
Chairman Ram Kumar Patel and members Dukhva Patel, Hari Patel, Anurag Patel and Pawan Patel took charge, an official communication said.
He said the responsibility rests on the shoulders of Shakambhari Board office bearers to uplift their community, which is involved in vegetable, fruit and flowers production.
They should ensure the problems of community members are solved and all derive maximum benefits of government schemes.
He said the government is establishing a Horticulture University at Sankara (Durg) and colleges at Bemetara, Jashpur, Dhamtari and Balod districts.
