A 55-year-old woman Rajwanti, who was working in a primary health care (PHC) centre at Bhangrola village died under mysterious circumstances on Friday morning.
The family of the deceased have filed a police complaint at the New Colony police station in which they alleged that she died due to Covaxin dose which she had administered on January 16 at the PHC center at Bhangrola village in Gurugram.
However, the postmortem of the woman conducted on Friday which report is awaited.
The woman's husband Lal Singh a resident of Krishna Colony stated in his complaint that his wife slept on Thursday evening after dinner but on Friday morning she didn't get up till 7 am for her work.
"When she didn't get up on Friday morning, I immediately took her to a private hospital where the doctor declared her dead. My wife was administered with Covaxin on January 16 at the PHC center and was dead due to the vaccine dose," Singh said in his complaint.
Meanwhile, the health department claimed that the actual cause of death would be cleared after a viscera report of the deceased will come.
"The preliminary symptoms suggest that the woman passed away due to cardiac arrest. For further confirmation we have sent her viscera report which is awaited. We have also informed the central ministry about the matter. Whether she died due to Covaxin or some other reasons, it will be cleared after we receive her report," said Virender Yadav, chief medical officer (CMO) Gurugram.
